English Teacher

I am a student at McGill University. I love to sing, read, and binge Netflix series. I help students learn English as a second language, and improve their ways of language in terms of speaking, reading and writing. I love to make learning fun and exciting for students so that they are able to engage with the content and their peers better.

  • Interactive speaking sessions: these will be an hour long and will include topics centred around cultural awareness to get to know each other better.
    • Learning about different traditions and festivals
    • Building a bridge between cultural gaps
  • Project based learning: students will learn how to engage in storytelling, and will choose between two projects to complete during our sessions:
    Stories within stories:
In this project students will be very hands-on, they may choose to use cardboard boxes, or can write a story of their own, which contains shorter stories within it. The purpose of this project is to add more entertainment, and to convey significance for the characters in the story…..
  • Family stories
Family stories or tales about people, places, and events related to members of our family. They’re usually told at the dinner table or retold again at family gatherings, which creates notable short stories.

    – The memorable stories of our lives, and of others in our families take special importance because they are different versions of the same event. This tells our family heirloom; And they are a gift to each generation that preserve standby, remembering them and passing them on.
    – To better portray this, students will be asked where the story took place, who was in the story, what happened in the story, and whether something was learned or felt.
